The P-51 Mustang Lucky Lady VIII is a renowned airplane, and seeing it power up is a memorable experience. The elegant, silver fighter gleams in the sunlight as it stands on the tarmac, an outstanding example of World War II craftsmanship. But the true pleasure starts when the Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine fires up.

The Merlin engine begins to turn over breaking the silence with the beautiful sound of 1,500 horsepower about to be released. Suddenly, flames spit out from the six exhaust stacks.

The P-51 Mustang’s takeoff is smooth yet potent, and once airborne, it truly shines. The pilot then makes a gorgeous barrel roll to demonstrate his flying skill.
