Mad helicopter pilot harvesting Christmas trees
What immediately caught our attention was the consistent positioning of the payload directly beneath the helicopter throughout the entire process.
This not only implies that the pilot is constantly maintaining a balance and momentum equilibrium during the entire flight but also that, when placing the payload into the truck, the pilot doesn’t see it – the pilot just knows where it is.
We find that truly fascinating. It makes us wonder if the pilot’s ability to seamlessly perform such maneuvers is a result of years of experience, transforming the helicopter and its cargo into a natural extension of their body. The helicopter pilot seems to intuitively feel the position of the bundle. Quite remarkable.
Ok until that load doesn’t release. Then he’s in a world of hurt.
I will, just about, guarantee that the pilot did VERTREP (Vertical Replenishment) in the US Navy.
