The CAF Commemorative Air Force used several airplanes to film this thirty-second video. The B-17G made the final cut, but the CAF P-51D Mustang ‘Gunfighter’ and CAF FM-2 Wildcat ‘VF-41’ also took part in the shooting. The first plane to fly over the carefully picked filming location was a V-Tail Bonanza, operated by the pilots who would barrel through in the B-17G ‘Sentimental Journey’.

Making of “Don’t Mess with Texas” Anti-Litter Commercial. Hopefully, they brought an extra pair of underwear.

Have you ever seen a B-17 flying so low? And it wasn’t just once; they must have made over twenty camera passes, some of which were only 30 feet high. The video was shot on a remote stretch of State Highway 385 near McCamey, West Texas, on October 24 and 25 of 1990. The P-51D and FM-2 were unable to keep inside safety limits because to the turbulence that Flying Fortress was generating, so they did not make it into the video, which is unfortunate.

Some bumper stickers marked the start of the DMWT campaign in 1985. The first TV commercial, which debuted during the 1986 Cotton Bowl, featured the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan. They have produced over 60 spots for television and even more radio promotions, and each one was really fantastic.

Back in the good old days when it was still called the Confederate Air Force. Political correctness is ruining this country and it’s history.
