The supersonic passenger aircraft known as Concorde entered commercial service in 1976 and operated until 2003. This aircraft was always standing out at airports for its unique shape and design, where ever it went.

Concorde was powered by four Rolls-Royce/Snecma Olympus 593 turbojets with variable engine intake ramps, and reheat for take-off and acceleration to supersonic speed. Concorde required afterburners to accelerate to takeoff speed and push it into supersonic flight at high altitudes. Pretty interesting to see FLIR turn blue.

Did you ever have the opportunity to see and hear Concorde’s powerful takeoff? Let us know in the comments.

1 accident and the fastest passenger jets get grounded and then go out of business and dont fly again, something isn’t right with this and no replacement jets ???? Some planes have crashes and lose planes (literally). Nonody ever questioned that ????? WHY.
