Setting down on 1 wheel to allow Reverse Thurst to be selected

The McDonnell Douglas MD-80 airplane, a workhorse of the skies, has earned its place in aviation history for its reliability and versatility.

In this video, it goes beyond its usual operations, providing a visual spectacle that raises eyebrows and heart rates. The airplane’s thrust reversers are deployed while it is still in the air.

While the scene may appear unconventional, it speaks to the MD-80’s engineering and design. This maneuver, while dramatic, showcases the airplane’s responsiveness and adaptability.
