E-6B’s are antiquated useless tools. A good CFI will tell their students the trough and tell them to throw those things out and stay ahead of the power curve. No one uses those things.

I have an E6B computer like that. Very hard to use. Have book with it. Would be hard to fly and try to use it.

anyone that can’t use a E6b is not a “real” pilot. It is good to learn how to do time-speed-distance problems in your head though for when stuff is happening to fast for it…

When I took the written in 1974 they would not let you use an electronic calculator, you had to figure it out by yourself not let a machine do it.
