This was in Munich (EDDM) a few months ago. Apparently, they performed a CAT IIIc autoland despite the fact that the ILS area was unprotected.

Shouldn’t the emergency warrant the landing? A pilot crashes because he sucks at landing but saves everyone on-board; is that a good landing? I’ve been told this since I was a student, and I never understood it.
