During World War II the Army Corps of Engineers needed to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant to protect it from a Japanese air attack.

They covered it with camouflage netting and to make it look like a rural subdivision from the air.

The first photo is “Before” the other photos are the “After” shots

That’s pure genius! I think I also saw on History channel or Discovery how the or English hired an illusionist to help hide a specific shoreline so that the German airforces would be confused at night to their actual location for the bombing raids..
